What you´ll do
- Commercial Strategy Manager is responsible for managing & enabling achievement of over $900M in sales and profit objectives through development, alignment, implementation of business plans - that achieve customer and Henkel business goals.
- The incumbent plays an instrumental role in the development of their respective franchise/product strategies related to DPSM (distribution, pricing, shelving and merchandising) as well as defining sales related goals.
- The incumbent is responsible for maximizing the over $325M trade budget for their respective Brand.
- The incumbent is responsible for leading the new item launch process for assigned franchises or products and coordinates the efforts of marketing, supply chain, merchandising, and sales/business planning to ensure on-time delivery and effective implementation of the plan.
- The incumbent serves as a liaison between sales and marketing by representing the voice of our customers to marketing and by providing knowledge of marketing and brand strategies to the field. Incumbent's participation in key cross functional meetings is critical in gaining alignment on strategies, marketing/consumer initiatives, forecasts/demand, financials and supply chain fulfillment.
- Position is viewed as influential in directing franchise goal attainment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for business strategy development, deployment and execution to achieve Net Sales, Profit and market share objectives.
- Leads cross functional team members in development and implementation of DPSM distribution, pricing, shelving and merchandising results through IRI/Nielsen.
- Leads business planning process by preparing or collaborating insights and analytics to support marketing strategy, template preparation, process communication and execution of strategic customer/sales team planning meetings.
- Partners with Sales and Marketing in launch/product strategies, development, selling materials, execution and monitoring to achieve financial and brand objectives.
- Communicates key strategies, insights and initiatives between field and internal teams. Initiates and coordinates across a matrix environment to support goal achievement and gain cross functional alignments.
- Actively participates in the development of materials in support of strategic retailer line reviews.

- Monitors competitive pricing in the marketplace and works with Category Management, Marketing, and Sales Leadership to recommend appropriate action on national, channel, and account-specific strategies.
- Creates and communicates merchandising strategy in conjunction with promo and shopper marketing plan to achieve net sales, profit and brand share objectives.
- Active participant in monthly S&OP meetings and provides high-level commentary into monthly forecast process based on monthly account demand calls.
- Leads gap closing initiatives in conjunction with Dir of Sales Strategy through SharePoint tool
Background & Education:
- 4 year degree or equivalent
- 5+ years prior experience in consumer package goods Required Skills/Abilities:
- Direct customer sales experience
- Strong analytical & financial acumen.
- Positive can-do attitude -- collaborative, team-oriented approach -- diligent work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, complex, matrix and fluid environment.
- Ability to devise and deliver persuasive presentations, based on data-driven insights and facts, to gain support for business strategies and/or initiatives.
- Ability to identify and assess risk and prioritize competing demands.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications, database information sources, and web applications.
- Category management, Business Analytics, Trade Marketing experience a plus but not required

The salary for this role is $120,000-160,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
