This role must be able to work Monday through Friday from 10PM - 6AM, with the potential for overtime, as required.

The Chemical Handler is responsible for receiving, cycle counting, and managing all storage and movement of semi-finished goods and labels.

What you´ll do

  • Review production schedule daily, create transfer orders for all materials required for production orders within 72 hours, and make necessary changes, as notified.
  • Complete transaction sheets and pick material from the pick sheet.
  • Review and close STOs daily.
  • Follow plant 5S standards for staging areas.
  • Pre-stage containers and raw materials for upcoming batches from the pick list.
  • Re-package goods, as needed.
  • Utilize SAP to verify (via the bill of materials) all semi-finished goods and components needed for production.
  • Physically verify/count quantities.
  •  Place orders with storage warehouse.
  • Send escalations, as needed.
  • Draw and load batches, with assistance from other operators.
  • Communicate any potential material outages and work with planning team on delivery status.
  • Complete inventory cycle counts required by inventory control team.
  • Receive materials systematically through SAP.
  •  Unload trailers, conduct blind counts, and stage pallets in warehouse, as needed.
  • Manage spreadsheet tracking sheets for inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Communicate loads with storage warehouse via SharePoint.
  • Operate PIT.
  • All other duties, as assigned.

What makes you a good fit

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Must have at least 2 years of material handling experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must have a strong understanding of safety protocols and best practices.
  • Must be able to complete internal Forklift certification within prescribed time frame.
  • Must have basic to intermediate computer and math skills.
  • Must be an effective communicator, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to adapt your communication style to different audiences, including active listening, clear presentation skills, and the capacity to provide and receive feedback at all levels of the organization.
  • Must have good time-management and organizational skills.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail.
  • Must have the ability to problem solve.
  • Must be able to adapt and pivot to changing priorities in a high-speed manufacturing environment.

The salary for this role is $22.50 - $24.25. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
