What you´ll do

  • Lead the demand planning function and team to ensure accurate and timely forecasts, aligning supply and demand for finished goods and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain short, medium, and long-term demand forecasts by analyzing historical sales data, market trends, promotional activities, and customer input. Ensure alignment between sales forecasts, production capabilities, and inventory levels.
  • Work closely with the Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to gather inputs and incorporate them into the demand planning process. Facilitate demand review meetings to ensure alignment with business plans and to address any demand or supply imbalances.
  • Analyze key performance metrics (such as forecast accuracy, service level, and inventory turnover) to identify opportunities for improvement. Generate reports and dashboards for senior management, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the demand planning process by recommending new methodologies, tools, and technologies. Use advanced analytics and forecasting models to improve accuracy and reduce excess inventory.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain team to optimize inventory levels, reduce stockouts, minimize excess inventory, and improve overall service levels.
  • Identify and proactively manage risks related to demand fluctuations, production constraints, or external market factors. Develop contingency plans and work cross-functionally to resolve issues promptly.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of demand planners, ensuring their professional growth and alignment with organizational goals. Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability.

What makes you a good fit

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., APICS CPIM or CSCP) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in demand planning, preferably in the CPG industry or related fields.
  • At least 4-5 years in a managerial or team leadership role.
  • Familiarity with S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools; experience with statistical forecasting techniques is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to navigate complex supply chain issues and provide actionable solutions.
  • Experience with consumer goods, retail, or FMCG industries.
