What you'll do
· - Develop, formulate, test and coordinate new/existing cosmetic hair related products and transfers.
· - Coordinate with the NA R&D formulation teams to define scope, materials, timelines, activities, milestones, and responsibilities of the formulas being transferred.
· - Coordinate and manage the R&D laboratory assigned to his team. This includes raw material handling, raw material storage, equipment maintenance, equipment acquisition, training of personnel, development of safety protocols for the area.
· - Responsible to use materials and process that comply with the latest regulatory norms, standards to formulate and reformulate according to company guidelines
· - Be up to date with latest innovations on formulations and raw materials, communicate and training of the team
· - Drive assessment of technical feasibility/challenges for proposed technology or product changes. Anticipate transfer risks and address issues proactively or raise them to team early on for a complete design for manufacturing brief
· - Works with plant teams to consolidate learning on technology, steers process engineering activities and communicate to network
· - Strive to develop high performance products.
· - Conduct and oversee product stabilities, challenge test and any other development test for all new products.
· - Conduct and ensure all direct reports conduct all development activities with high quality, complying with departmental and corporate procedures, SOPs and cGMP requirements.
· - Initiate and follow-up on audits and drive continuing process and quality improvements throughout the group and department.
· - Communicate to the Management the status of all projects, formulation successes and issues, stability concerns and the status and progress of direct reports with frequent formal and informal verbal updates and via detailed monthly reports.
· - People talent development and have a robust succession plan.
· - Support business continuity for the NA portfolio.
· - Support formula NA/Global platforming, managing complexity and harmonization of formulations within the LATAM structure.

What makes you a good fit
· - B.S. or M.S. in Chemistry, Engineering, Biology, Microbiology, or a related field.
· - Over 7 years of experience in Research & Development, Formulation, or Processing Engineering, including hands-on laboratory and industry experience.
· - Proven experience leading teams of engineers or scientists, driving innovation and technical solutions.
· - Strong organizational and technical problem-solving skills, demonstrated through past professional achievements.
· - Excellent presentation, writing, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
· - Knowledge of risk assessment, continuous improvement methodologies, and statistical practices to optimize processes and drive operational excellence.
