Research and Development Intern

YOUR ROLE

• Fulltime 12-month internship based in Ingleburn NSW with the Research and Development team of the Henkel Consumer Brands Division
  
• Take ownership of 3-5 projects during the internship with a focus on project management, research, analysis, and concept/product/packaging development
  
• Support basic lab processes such as sample handling and analysis, lab equipment/tool calibration, collection of technical data (e.g. SDS), records maintenance, report preparation and lab housekeeping
  
• Contribute to our Sustainability strategy and targets
  
• Contribute as a team member
  
• Be accountable for safety of self and others, develops and implements safe products and processes.

YOUR SKILLS

• Degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering with major in Material Science and/or Sustainability or comparable degree
  
• Previous experience in lab environment is highly regarded
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and eager to learn, and passionate about sustainability and innovation
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficient in Microsoft Office with Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Table, V-Lookup) highly desirable
  
• Self-motivated, creative, and an open-minded team-player able to work independently
  
• Able to critically analyse situations and provide insightful observations and improvements
  
• Able to manage workload, meet project deadlines and perform tasks in an organised manner
