YOUR ROLE

The Shipping Team Leader is responsible for leading decision making and acting as a point of contact for the team on their assigned shift. The open position is available on 1st shift.

• Perform all tasks and duties of Shipping Technicians to include forklift operation and SAP use
  
• Provide vacation and absentee coverage for Shipping Technicians
  
• Coordinate resource planning and supplemental staffing management (temps, summer help, resource)
  
• Supports creation of standardized work across Shipping function
  
• Suggests and helps implement process improvements that lead to the elimination of operational outages for Customer Service related reasons
  
• Works regularly with Team Leaders within Shipping and Operations to drive area ownership and continuous improvement efforts
  
• Leads decision making and serves as the point of contact for Shipping on assigned shift
  
• Acts as the point person for all activities related to trials and project work that occur during his/her shift
  
• Communicates as necessary to Operations and other support areas
  
• Participates in pre-shift and post-shift meetings as applicable
  
• Facilitates completion of vendor complaint process
  
• Production Reporting (All Sheet) and enters data into SAP
  
• Identifies training needs and facilitates training to enhance skill development within team; organizes, develops and administers all team training
• 5S champion
  

YOUR SKILLS

• 1 to 2 years of current or recent experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Demonstrated team leadership skills in current or previous roles
• Previous forklift operation required; team-based work experience considered a plus
• Flexibility to rotate to different assignment areas as needed
• Availability to work 1st shift (6:30 AM – 2:30 PM) schedule as well as daily and weekend overtime
• Basic to intermediate computer and math skills
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability and willingness to train others

The salary for this role is $20.68 - $22.52 This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range.  This salary range may also be modified in the future.
