YOUR ROLE

  • Executes hazard communication for all products in applicable business units and region, including preparation of Safety Data Sheets and labels data.
  • Identifies, determines applicability and timely communication of potential impact of new raw material on intermediates, finished products.
  • Monitors, communicates and executes implementation of regulation changes.
  • Registers new chemical substances, monitors global chemical inventory status, substance volume tracking and associated testing requirements.
  • Participates in meetings and provides necessary support towards completing the Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs check list.
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of products, chemistries and processes.
  • Leads regional and global product safety and regulatory affairs projects to simplify, harmonize and streamline processes and procedures.
  • Provides training to customer support functions in order to facilitate timely responses to basic customer inquiries at the local level.
  • Ensures continuing familiarity with all of the latest applicable regulations and toxicological information.

YOUR SKILLS

  • Bachelor's Degree required - Biology, Chemistry, Occupational Health or Toxicology preferred
  • 1-3 years' experience required in a chemical manufacturing field; internship/co-op experience accepted
  • Regional chemical regulations (OSHA, EPA, Health Canada)
  • Knowledge of Acute and Chronic Health Hazards
  • Chemical inventory compliance for the US and Canada
  • OSHA HAZ COM 2012 (GHS knowledge)
  • Safety Data Sheet authoring for US, Canada, Mexico

The salary for this role is $69,200.00 - $94,300.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range.  This salary range may also be modified in the future.
