YOUR ROLE

• Within the Henkel Global Law Group, the Intellectual Property department is responsible, among other things, for the legal protection of our brands against counterfeiting / product piracy by third parties
• We are looking for an experienced trademark attorney or Brand Protection Manager for the Consumer Brands area, which includes detergents and cleaning agents as well as cosmetic products for our Group headquarters in Düsseldorf
• Area of responsibility includes all aspects of the legal prosecution of counterfeit products within “Consumer Brands” on a global scope and you will act as main contact person for the business managers
• Be responsible for the development and implementation of holistic strategies for the protection of our protected Consumer Brands - both in terms of online and offline distribution channels
• Work closely with internal departments such as legal, marketing and sales as well as with external partners such as law firms, investigators and authorities (police, public prosecutors, customs) to take action against trademark infringements
• Together with external service providers, you monitor and analyze infringements of intellectual property in the various online sales channels, such as online marketplaces or social media platforms
• Conduct training and awareness-raising measures for internal teams and external partners

YOUR SKILLS

• Excellent degree in law with a focus on trademark law or a comparable qualification
• 3 - 5 years of professional experience in the field of trademark law and/or brand protection, ideally in a corporate setting or law firm
• In-depth knowledge of the legal aspects of intellectual property and experience in the enforcement of trademark rights
• Proven record in brand protection, ideally with a focus on counterfeit prosecution, both offline and online
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills and the ability to work effectively with various internal departments as well as with external partners or authorities
• Willingness to occasionally travel domestically and abroad
• Fluent English language skills
