Dialogue with all Stakeholders
We welcome the growing public interest in the sustainability of corporate activities and the fact that the topic is increasingly discussed at all levels of society. We believe that viable and permanent solutions to the challenges of sustainable development can only be found through a dialogue with all social groups – at the local, regional and international levels.
Therefore, Henkel continuously seeks a dialogue with all stakeholders. Key stakeholders include employees, shareholders, customers, consumers, suppliers, neighbors, government authorities, politicians, associations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), scientists, and the general public. One basic principle has always applied: we communicate openly and actively - even when we have made mistakes.
Benefits of Stakeholder Dialogue
Intensive communication with all stakeholders has become an indispensable corporate task. Only through transparent and open dialogue are we able to achieve social validation for our business activities. It serves as a basis for exchanges and mutual understanding and offers an opportunity to explain our activities. At the same time, it is an important source for ideas and feedback into our organization. We view the dialogue with our stakeholders as an opportunity to identify the developments and challenges of our different markets at an early stage. It thus makes an important contribution to innovation management and risk management in our Company and enables us to further align Henkel to sustainability. In addition, by actively communicating in this way, we can leverage our sustainability performance to make our products even more successful in their markets.
