The brand Metylan was founded in Germany in 1953 as a convenient powder
based wallpaper paste for professional users: Metylan Leim. Later – with the development of heavier wall coverings – ”Metylan special” was introduced.

Metylan evolved into a the leading International brand for wallpaper pastes. From these two original products, Metylan has worked closely with the wallpaper and wall covering industry to develop a complete range of pastes for all kinds of wallpapers.
