About this Position

As a Tax Manager, What you'll do is to oversee and manage all tax-related functions for the company. This includes planning, tax reporting and compliance activities to ensure tax compliance for all entities in the Netherlands, with the support of the Finance team and external advisors.

What you´ll do

  • Accountable for Tax Compliance and reporting; ensure the company complies with all national and international tax regulations.
  • Responsible for Tax Accounting; prepare the income tax position, including deferred tax positions, as input for the quarterly reporting, various tax returns and financial statements.
  • Responsible for managing the relationship with the tax authorities (in the Netherlands) and liaising of several tax related topics
  • Liaise with external auditors and manage and support in tax audits
  • Coordinate with tax advisors to discuss and agree on the approach to (new) tax legislation and provide guidance on ensuring compliance.
  • Understand & advice on potential tax consequences of changes in the business area.
  • Advise on and assist in (implementing) corporate restructurings, acquisitions and divestments in cooperation with the Global Tax department in Dusseldorf, Germany.

What makes you a good fit

  • Educational background in fiscal economics/fiscal law. Knowledge of the Dutch Tax legislation and Dutch Tax law graduate.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in tax management, preferably with exposure to multinational corporations.
  • Strong knowledge of international tax laws, transfer pricing
  • Good understanding of VAT is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of tax accounting and the link between tax- and financial accounting.
  • Hands-on mentality and able to work independently.
  • Self-starter, excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills; ability to influence cross-functional teams and collaborate with senior leadership.
  • Proficient in Dutch and English, both written and verbal.
