About this Position

  • Scientific principal PD responsible for regional and global ADP projects based in Shanghai ZJ.
  • Technical lead for epoxy-based technology adhesives.
  • Develop innovative products and solutions to serve business growth.
  • Familiar with epoxy resins and curing mechanism.
  • Lead new technology research in UV/heat and UV/moisture dual cure for component assembly application, especially in optical applications.
  • Launch new technical solutions to key customers and market.
  • Develop strong IP position and technical roadmap.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, strong communication skills.  

What you´ll do

  • Steer product development projects; Develop new products to meet customer requirements within an agreed timeline.
  •  Assure technology state of the art through internal development of laboratory and staff.
  •  Provide technical support to other functions as required from PD position.
  •  Ensure compliance with Henkel corporate SHE standards, policies and innovation process.
  •  Ensure that Henkel's new IP is protected through patent filing or black box implementation.
  •  Support operation team to complete new product scale-up, optimize manufacturing process and solve the quality problem with related products.
  •  Support application engineer and business team on solving technical problem and providing technical training if required.
  •  Participation in site safety activities and/or 5S programs. - communicate internally with technical service, sales, business and marketing team, to deliver the new innovation to the market.
  •  Closely work with global expert team, enhance Henkel competitive advantage.
  •  Closely work with key customers, understand customer needs and industrials mega trends, provide innovative solutions.
  •  Effectively deliver written/verbal technical reports and share knowledge/ideas. 

What makes you a good fit

  • Master's degree or above, PhD is preferred.
  • Major in Chemistry, polymer science or material science, etc.
  • 10+ years product development or R&D experience in industrials.
