About this Position

We are looking for a Process Engineer and HPS Manager in Drogenbos (Brussels Region), to lead continuous improvement initiatives in the production site. If you are a motivated Engineer, with a first professional experience in a production environment, and would like to craft your career in a dynamic environment, this is the opportunity for you!  

What you´ll do

  • Evaluate and improve on processes in manufacturing systems.
  • Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs and changeovers.
  • Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.
  • Coordinate all the CIP (Continuous Improvement Program) activities/projects taking place in the factory.
  • Ensure that all improvement activities are followed through to successful completion.
  • Ensure that any roadblocks are highlighted, escalated and addressed.
  • Regularly review the results of improvement activity against the expected results and take action as appropriate.
  • Conduct cost and benefit analysis.
  • Provide reports and updates of the CIP activities to the Site Management Team.
  • Provide the standards and tools to assure the implementation of Henkel Production System.
  • Provide training on standards and tools.
  • Train and mentor teams to drive improvement initiatives across the organization.

What makes you a good fit

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering preferred), or related.
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience leading Continuous Improvement projects or programs.
  • Native or bilingual proficiency in French or Dutch, and fluent in English (both written and spoken).
  • Advanced knowledge of Lean Production and Lean Tools. The Six Sigma Green Belt is considered a clear advantage for the position.
  • Strong people leadership skills and ability to lead and influence others.
