About this Position

Leads Application Engineering activities within region / locally to execute AE support within the assigned market. Lead the SBU through on-site customer-facing technical activities, including supporting customer/market applications and engineering projects for existing and new business within the defined territory. Being accountable for all AE segment and Technical Center within the territory.

What you´ll do

  • Drive the success of local SBU ACE projects by implementing customer roadmaps and conducting plant audits/line surveys to expand the ACE Growth impact pipeline for surface treatment solutions.
  • Validate products in the laboratory under simulated line conditions to ensure successful first-time product launches, including Nano Pretreatment and Low-Temperature Phosphating systems.
  • Provide on-site technical assistance for pretreatment processes, including chemical applications, equipment optimization, and troubleshooting to enhance customer operations.
  • Support the sales team in building strong value propositions and addressing customer-specific needs.
  • Work with application equipment to provide innovative solutions for the digitalization of customer pretreatment processes.
  • Manage equipment-related projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and optimal performance. Oversee the setup of the Application Engineering laboratory, Supervise laboratory work, including prioritizing customer samples and reporting technical results.
  • Collaborate with PD, Sales, Quality, and CFT to provide input on equipment and support new product testing.
  • To ensure smooth application deployment and customer satisfaction. Promote effective communication and teamwork to meet project and customer objectives.
  • Lead technical training sessions and coaching for field sales teams and customers to enhance product application knowledge and skillsets.
  • Implement regional and local best practices to align with customer and market expectations.
  • Ensure adherence to Henkel’s and regulatory requirements, including safety, legal, and environmental standards, as well as customer and industry specifications.

What makes you a good fit

  • Minimum 6 years of work experience
  • Should be a Graduate, preferably into Mechanical/Chemical Engineering
  • Strong expertise in root cause analysis and design of experiments (DOE).
  • Advanced technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Deep knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in project management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and solutions for process optimization.
  • Strong training and coaching capabilities for technical and non-technical audiences.
