About this position

What you´ll do

  • Safety Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Safety Protocols: Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations and industry best practices.
  • Training and Awareness: Provide safety training and awareness programs for workers, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), emergency procedures, and safe work practices.
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents and incidents to determine their causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence. 
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and safety equipment maintenance.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all safety and health regulations are followed.
  • Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure preparedness for various emergency scenarios.
  • Communication: Act as a liaison between management and workers to address safety concerns and ensure effective communication regarding safety issues.
  • Safety Equipment: Oversee the use, maintenance, and proper storage of safety equipment and gear. 
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit safety reports and audits to management, highlighting safety performance and areas for improvement.
  • Risk Assessment: Participate and coordinate to conduct thorough risk assessments and hazard analyses (such as HAZOP & risk analysis) to identify potential process safety hazards and recommend appropriate risk mitigation strategies.

What makes you a good fit 

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Construction Safety, Process safety, industrial safety, or a related field. Experience in implementation of ISO standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001 & ISO 50001).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Advanced Diploma In Industrial Safety from State Board. (preference to CLI)
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of safety regulations, hazard identification, risk assessment, and emergency response procedures.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Proficiency in MS Office and safety management software.
