About this Position

Join the M&A / Business Development at Henkel Adhesive Technologies which plays a key role in driving Henkel Adhesive Technologies’ inorganic growth strategy by leading M&A transactions, from deal origination through to integration. You will be responsible for identifying, evaluating and executing potential acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic investments. What you´ll do

  • Deal Origination & Sourcing:
  • Identify potential acquisition opportunities that align with the Strategic Business Units (SBUs) strategic objectives
  • Prepare deep dives, investment thesis and recommendations to senior management to decide on M&A opportunities
  • Due Diligence & Valuation:
  • Manage and coordinate due diligence activities which entails collaborating with relevant SBU, business and corporate functions across Henkel
  • Prepare business plans and detailed financial analysis
  • Prepare all necessary committee or board approval documents
  • For divestments, preparation of transaction scope, structure, carve-out financials and other deal documents such as Information Memorandum
  • Deal Negotiation & Execution:
  • Negotiate key terms of transactions together with Corporate M&A and legal teams
  • Post-Merger Integration:
  • Ensure that an integration plan is designed and ensure smooth hand-over to dedicated PMI lead. Personal involvement and support of the PMI process may be required depending on the complexity of the transaction
  • Strategic Advisory:
  • Conduct strategic analysis, industry research and competitor analysis to help evaluate potential M&A opportunities
  • Sparring partner for Strategic Business Units (SBUs) on M&A matters

What makes you a good fit

  • Master's degree in business adminstration or similar
  • Ideally 5 years of relevant work experience with a proven track record of successfully executing M&A transactions
  • Ability to manage a transaction from end-to-end (from initial / desktop analysis, through evaluation and internal presentation to external negotiation)
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Highly motivated and diligent person with an ability work quickly, effectively and proactively in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high standards
  • Willing to go over and above to drive value creation opportunities for Henkel Adhesive Technologies
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with limited supervision
  • Fluent English language skills
