YOUR ROLE

• The Production Team Lead is responsible for executing production in the safest and most efficient manner possible for the manufacturing of products in a quality standard that meets or exceeds our customers’ expectations reporting to the Supervisor.
• Provides departmental direction and run the shift in the absence of supervisor and optimize the use of equipment, the process and resources.
• To lead and train the team under the guidance of the supervisor and ensure safe working by the team.
• The team lead will be the second in command to the production supervisor and assume production supervisors' responsibility when needed.

• Planning, Leading, Organizing and control skills. Stock control / MRP processes.
• Assertiveness and decision-making Skills.

• Monitor and optimize process parameters
• Optimization of use of equipment.
•  Practice EHS requirements and ensure all relevant procedures are followed.
•  Identify, control and enforce correct PPE requirements and usage
• Perform troubleshooting in the plant

• Human Resource Management and Leadership skills.
• Tactical and analytical problem solving.
• Production planning and scheduling
• Driving production key performance indicators such as OEE, SA & CCDB
• Education and Qualifications: National Diploma (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial & Chemistry) FET Level N4
